Tim Jäger has been working as a scientific associate at the Council of Experts on Climate Change (ERK) since March 2025. He is also a Research Associate at the Institute of Energy Economics (EWI) and a doctoral candidate at the University of Cologne. His research focuses on grid regulation and electricity market modeling. Before joining the Institute of Energy Economics (EWI), Tim Jäger studied economics at the Universities of Oldenburg and Barcelona, specializing in macroeconomics and industrial organization. He then worked in economic consulting, focusing on grid technologies and modeling for various clients in the energy sector.
