Simon Schnier has been a Scientific Associate at the office of the Council of Experts on Climate Change (ERK) since September 2021. He completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics at the University of Münster, focusing on climate and environmental economics as well as empirical methods. During his studies, he worked at the Institute for Housing from 2015 to 2019 and at the Institute for Public and Regional Economics from 2019 to 2021. Furthermore, he completed an internship at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) in the Energy, Transport, Environment Department in 2018.
