Leon Langerhans has been working as a Scientific Associate for the Council of Experts on Climate Change (ERK) since October 2024. He is also a Research Associate and doctoral candidate at the Institute of Energy Economics (EWI) at the University of Cologne. He completed his bachelor's degree in Economics at the University of Giessen, followed by a master's degree in Economics at the University of Cologne, specializing in econometrics and energy economics. During his studies, he worked at the Chair of Public Finance (University of Giessen) and at the EWI.
